Hunter Hinson
From Cairo, Georgia, son of Lofley and Barbara Hinson
Started swimming in the summer of 1996 at the age of four with the Cairo-Grady Sharks with head coach and now dear friend, Nat Higdon
Year-round swimming career began at the age of nine with Bainbridge YMCA and quickly transitioned to Area Tallahassee Aquatics Club (ATAC) at the age of 11 in 2004
Under the leadership of ATAC head coach, Terry Maul, I began competing at the top tier competition throughout the state of Florida, Southeastern U.S., and eventually the whole country
2004, 2006, 2008 Florida zone team member
2009 Junior National qualifier and finalist
2010 Senior National qualifier and selected Junior National team member in 200 LCM butterfly; named 2nd fastest 18 & under American male in 200 LCM butterfly; signed with the University of Alabama
2012 Olympic Trials qualifier and attendant in 200 LCM butterfly
2011, 2013, 2014 SEC Swimming & Diving Championship team member
2014 graduate from University of Alabama
Currently reside in Atlanta, GA, with my wife, Chandler Hinson, working as a sales representative for John Deere Construction & Forestry Division
