Alyssa Yambor-Maul Receives Mac Scholarship

My name is Alyssa Yambor-Maul I was first awarded the Mac Crutchfield foundation scholarship in the fall of 2013, when I began attending the University of Florida. At the University of Florida I majored in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with specialization in exercise physiology, and received a minor in communication studies. I was also a member of the University of Florida Swimming and Diving program for four years. During this time I was a NCAA qualifier and SEC finalist in the 200-yard butterfly for multiple years. From these performances I became the 7th All Time fastest 200 butterflier at UF. In 2014 I was a CSCAA Scholar All-American honorable mention, and in 2015, 2016, and 2017 I was a CSCAA scholar All-American. Each year I was a part of the SEC Academic Honor roll, and was captain of the University of Florida Women’s Swimming and Diving team my senior year. I also competed in multiple events at the U.S Olympic trials in Omaha Nebraska in 2012 and 2016. I am now pursuing my goal of becoming a Physical Therapist. After having applied to Physical Therapy schools in hopes of getting accepted and starting PT school in the fall of 2018.
